Redwood Software, a provider of infrastructure automation solutions, today announced Wet Seal, Inc., a leading U.S. clothing retailer, has chosen Redwood's Report2Web software to streamline and personalize the delivery of reports to over 350 field personnel located throughout the U.S. Report2Web captures incoming documents from any system and application within an organization and personalizes access through a standard Web browser, allowing users to easily retrieve updated business information.
Wet Seal expects Report2Web to replace its paper libraries and improve the logistical challenges associated with daily report distribution via email. To this point, sales inventory and merchandising reports have been emailed to more than 350 employees daily as PDFs. Not only has maintenance of version levels been difficult to control, users were also receiving reports with information not relevant to them.
Michael Relich, Wet Seal chief information officer said: We needed an alternative to our current system that was easy to maintain and would give us the ability to split reports into personalized pieces of information for each staff member out in the field. With 60 districts to report on, we knew users only wanted information specific to their territory.
With Report2Web, Wet Seal can now capture reports, split, collate and automatically publish them into a secure central repository. Security features ensure that end-users view only authorized information. The Report2Web email notification feature ensures users are notified when documents are ready for viewing. Another feature allows automatic content-driven bursting and formatting of reports into separate documents.
Relich said, "The majority of our field personnel dial-in to retrieve reports, so our previous system of emailing PDFs could mean excessive download times." With Report2Web, users receive email with a personal link to their report, held directly in the Report2Web secure repository this eliminates large file downloads and unproductive searches through various versions of the same report to get to required information.
