Redwood Software, provider of leading edge software solutions, today announced that Macmillan has chosen Report2Web as an alternative way of delivering/distributing client’s business- critical information. Report2Web, a web-based report distribution solution, enables all documents and standard reports to be presented to client publishers on demand via a web browser.

Macmillan is a truly global publishing company. It has offices in 41 countries world-wide but actually operates in over 70. The company is made up of over 50 different divisions and operates in different areas of publishing including education, science, technology, medicine, fiction and non-fiction book publishing, as well as journal publishing. With the increased demand from their clients for information 24 x 7, Macmillan needed a solution that allowed them to offer its clients a better service providing access to their information anytime, anywhere and all at a reduced cost.

Our existing way of distributing information was inflexible and the cost of paper and print consumables were high. Report2Web has played a major role in solving our problem of delivering information to our clients, quickly and easily, explains Chris Read, IS Manager of Macmillan. It not only allows us to deliver reports faster and more accurately, but the information can be manipulated by the client as well so they get the information they need in the right format.

We are pleased that we have delivered significant value and transformed Macmillan's data delivery approach, said Jonathan Laughland, Sales Manager of Redwood Software UK, Report2Web's ease of use, ensured security and the ability to make information available instantaneously will deliver real benefits in a very short time.
