Job Purpose
Due to increasing demand for our industry leading solutions, Redwood Software is looking to expand our presales engineering team in the Western and North Central regions of the USA.
As a trusted advisor and expert, the Pre-Sales Engineer's main goals and objectives are to support the sales process; identifying, understanding and defining customer needs and creating value add business solutions that best meet our customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Communicating the capabilities of our software solutions to prospects and customers
- Work closely with the Redwood sales team on account strategy and sales execution
- Work across-functional business areas to identify, understand and define user requirements
- Create and develop compelling sales presentations that demonstrate the value of our solutions
- Create solutions that map to requirements or issues identified during technical discovery calls/meetings
- Develop and deliver RFPs and provide business benefit and ROI analysis
- Manage Proof-of-Concept (POC) process discovery, analysis, scope and delivery
Skills and Experience
- Prior work experience as a pre-sales/solution engineer is required
- Strong communication skills, with the capability of presenting to all levels in the customer and partner organization from 'C' level executives, support and technical audiences
- Customer and sales focused with ability to influence internal teams and customers/partners
- Self-driven with ability to drive and take responsibility and ownership of tasks
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Strong problem solving abilities and organizational skills
- Knowledge or experience with Enterprise Software Solutions, Workload/Process Automation, SAP applications, Java scripting or Web Services is a plus
